Member Spotlight: Bluebird Books & Gifts opens on Mill Street

There’s a new light on Mill Street. Bluebird Books & Gifts opened its doors last week in the beautifully restored Foster Building, and the response from the community has been overwhelming.

Owner Sam Reyes spent two years bringing the space back to life — exposed brick, reclaimed oak shelving, and a reading nook that looks out over the river. “We wanted a place that feels like Riverside,” Reyes says. “Local authors, staff picks, and a spot to sit with a book and a coffee from Millrace next door.”

The chamber was proud to host the ribbon-cutting, with more than fifty members and neighbors turning out. Bluebird joins a growing list of independent makers and retailers choosing to invest in the mill district.
